Batch Processing using PDF Plugin

Postby rochard » Fri Dec 10, 2004 8:46 pm

Am building a hotel reservation system where we need to send out confirmation notices in batches at the end of each day. This could involve sending out as many as 350 different documents with anywhere between 1 and 500 items on each document. Currently we are generating these as html files but want to change over to generating and sending pdf's.

Can the pdf plugin handle this sort of volume of transactions without any problems? Will we run into any memory issues or other problems.

TIA

No problem at all.
I did some test and the pdf-plugin generates them in no time!
The email is the only things that slow down.

I have a method that generates personalized pdf's with barcode generated and personalized emailtext and email them directly. That all does Servoy one per second!
