Stickies Plugin

Postby cybersack » Mon May 16, 2005 7:52 am

Hi everyone.

I have been lazy with my stream and media-manager plugins.
I apologize, but I have been busy with some other things, including a new plugin which I believe has much greater general utility and application : Stickies.

This plugin allows you to transparently support sticky-notes on any Form of any Table. By simply specifying some basic forms properties to fire 'load' and 'unload' methods of the Stickes Plugin, you get sticky support on a per-record basis.

The release will include a demo app and a simple table which should be imported for persistence, but in a nutshell, sticky notes which hover on top of a form for a specific record in the form's table can be created, moved and deleted with ease. You do not need to be concerned with persistence of sticky notes.

A popup-menu action creates a sticky.
A close action (with a configurable, optional prompt) supports deletion.

If you would like to use this plugin, please respond to my private email : julian@practica.com.au to obtain a licence.

A release will be made available this week.

The release will also include some fixes and HTTP transport enhancements for Stream-based product (including MediaManage and StreamedImageBean).

thanks
Julian
