that really shouldn't be needed, but i don't see full stacktraces of that nullpointer, i don't get that, you should get that if i look at the code, we report the full exception
what are the things you do around:
onSolutionOpen_my_solution:56 (onSolutionOpen_my_solution)
or
my_solution/forms/my_solution_form2/mRefresh:25 (mRefresh)
?

But without the full stacktrace (do you see those on the admin page?) i can't really see what is going on.

But if you have a reproducible test case/solution please make a case.

That was the full stack trace from the servoy_log, nothing else around the same time as those exceptions. I made a test solution but could not reproduce the issue. I'll do some more testing and if I can't figure it out then I'll make a case. Thanks.

Re: Servoy 7.2, Upgrading Application Server msg doesn't go

Postby huber » Tue Aug 27, 2013 11:48 am

After a fresh install of Servoy 7.2.0 (final), and starting the Developer, I get the message "The ApplicationServers version (2012) is lower than ... (see attached screenshot). When I say it should upgrade, it seems to run successfully, but after the Developer restart the message appears agin. In other words, the message appears every time I open the Developer. The Application Server says it has build 2013.
Any idea?

if you do a fresh install of 7.2 then you should get buildnr 2013
2012 is the RC build

So did you do an developer update (from 2012->2013) or did you really do a fresh install
But if you do a fresh install then you never should get a upgrade dialog then that, because in a fresh install you should get just 1 single build (app server and developer)

But still if your developer is 2013 and you app server is 2012 then you should be able to upgrade it, except if you have some write locks or wrong permissions on them so that we never can really update the jar files.
Are you sure that you also don't have the app server itself running?

I uninstalled 7.2 once again, and now it's ok, hmm. Thanks Johan!
