Ok I'll try to give more memory for my developer
Is there something you suggest to do with application server?
Maybe clear all solution and importing a new file created with 7.4.8 version?

our solution is quite big, but did not grow that much after upgrading.
Before (e.g. Developer 7.4.5) we recommended our developers to start the development environment with >2GB of memory, since the upgrade to 7.4.8, we have to recommend them to use at least 4GB. I doubt this is normal behavior?

i have no idea why that is, i think that is the growing of the solution (in forms and javascript and so on)
because from 7.4.5 on the developer really didn't change that much, here and there a few fixes but nothing big like the javascript parser and that kind of stuff (what we call DLTK plugins)

So i really don't see what could result in that much more memory consumption in the developer between 7.4.5 and 7.4.8, that should then really be investigated by having the same workspace and 2 installs
and comparing when you do the same steps the memory usage.

Is there a place where we could download the previous developer versions (I lost my 7.4.7...)?

Only Servoy is legally allowed to distribute the installers so if you need a version that is not on their website I suggest you contact Servoy directly.

Hope this helps.

Thank you everybodies, I got the version I need, I'm looking for time to make test with the previous version.
In the meanwhile I performed a restart of my production application server (still with version 7.4.8) and I'm currently waiting for users' feedbacks.
What can I say is by setting the next parameters:

Code: Select all
-Xms256m
-Xmx1024m
-XX:MaxPermSize=2048M

in my servoy.ini for developer, things became much faster.

Are there updates scheduled, soon? or is there a 'quick fix'?

I need a newer tomcat within Servoy I currently use build 2046 and need to fix these holes:

Multiple vulnerabilities affecting Apache Tomcat have been reported:
- Limited directory traversal (CVE-2015-5174).
- Directory disclosure (CVE-2015-5345).
- Security Manager bypass (CVE-2016-0706).
- Security Manager bypass (CVE-2016-0714).
- Session Fixation (CVE-2015-5346).
- CSRF token leak (CVE-2015-5351).

Affected Versions:
Apache Tomcat versions prior to 6.0.45, 7.0.68, 8.0.32.

We plan to make a release in about 3-4 weeks of 749

But we didn't upgrade yet the tomcat release (7 is still on 6.0.44)
I can't really see which of those CVE's are mapping on the changelog of that .45 release: http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-6.0-doc/changelog.html

But in the end it could be patched also by yourself, just download for servoy 7 tomcat 6.0.45 and overwrite all the jars you find here:
[install]application_server\server\lib

from the downloaded zip.

Or use WAR deployment so you can really use the latest tomcat version of your choice and updated it independently to Servoy

Johan,

The Apache Tomcat website has a separate page that tracks security fixes: https://tomcat.apache.org/security-6.html.

I strongly recommend that Servoy track this closely and stay current with their security baseline. According to the page above 6.0.45 contains several security vulnerability fixes.

After an update to this, Developer gives a popup to login to crm.servoy.com, and keeps popping up over and over with no way to get rid of it.

Update, and repeated clicking and restart, it seemed to go away.

this is not this release but an update of our website

Still investigating why that pops up, because it seems to be there but then after a restart we can't reproduce..
