Servoy OS X Widgets Available

Postby edward » Wed Jul 27, 2005 12:00 pm

2 new widgets for Mac OS X.4 are available for download here:

http://developer.servoy.com/generic.jsp?taxonomy_id=486

The forum widget allows you to see the most recent threads on the Servoy Forum and search directly through the forum.

The Headless Client Example Widget connects to a Servoy solution and displays data out of that solution inside a widget. You can easily take this widget as a starting point to display data of any Servoy solution directly in a widget.

More information on the Servoy Headless Client Widget and a downloadable whitepaper can be found at:

Good stuff Edward! I love calling up the forum this way. Also saw that the headless client example made the apple staff 'top ten favorite widgets' the other day!

Any plans to make these widgets work on other platforms (Windows [re:Yahoo!] and Linux, perhaps)? Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Cupertino fan, it's just that it would 'spread the word' to an even larger audience about Servoy, and the added functionality would be a plus...

Actually, I read somewhere that if you look out for some specific things in the coding, multi-platform compatibility is possible. If anyone has access to such info, I would be much obliged.

Sincerely,

Ben

Dashboard and Yahoo Widgets Available

Postby edward » Fri May 26, 2006 3:26 pm

We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of our popular Servoy Forum and ServoyWorld Countdown widgets for Yahoo Widgets and Apple Dashboard.

Mac OS X Dashboard widgets are currently available for the Macintosh (Mac OS X 10.4 and higher) only; the Yahoo widgets are cross-platform, so they can be installed on either the Macintosh (Mac OS X 10.3 and higher) or Windows (Windows XP/Windows 2000 or higher) platforms.

They are available to download from here...
