Uneditable spinner field

We logged a case about the spinner field being non-editable and thinking that it's a bug, but it turned out it's the expected field behaviour.
Would it be difficult to make it editable in Servoy? From experience with other application the spinner field mostly enables typing.
Or is there any particular reason to disable it in Servoy?
