trigger a select from dropdown when user hits TAB

Hi there.

I have a field on my form that is attached to a valuelist an has display type = "type_ahead" that I use to allow the user to select a city from a list that is stored in a DB table.

Is there anyway to trigger a selection if the user hits the TAB key? I mean if the user starts typing "new" and all the cities that contain "new" in it are displayed and then then they arrow down to the row for "new york", i want it to select that value if they hit the TAB key. The user is likely to hit the tab key because the next field in the tabsequence is also an input field that they need to enter.

Currently it only selects if the user hits a) the <enter> key or b) selects it with their mouse.
