showPrintPreview()

Q1: Is it possible to leave the print preview mode, without
triggering a (reset-) method from the menu?

It would be nice to do it with a button, but the nav.-toolbar is not present in this mode.

Q2: Is there a way to copy the entire previewed form to the clipboard and
then paste it into a (global0 field, like in FMP (Copy in preview mode)?

Q1 almost solved:
I overlooked the default CLOSE button, sorry.
Question remains if you can add your own buttons in this mode.
(or with nav. toolbar)

Q3 In preview mode my page is completely empty.
The property of the elements is set to PRINTABLE.
Am I missing something?

You should be able to use a controller when in print preview, also check the crm example reports, they go in preview with a controller.

Q2: currently not possible, can you give an example where you would use that for?

Q3: are there any records in your foundset? Is the first page too large to fit on one page?

Today, I had this problem twice!
In preview-mode, everything was gone! :o
I moved some objects a few pixels, and everything was back again!
Can't tell what went wrong.

Q2: I am now able to get a navigation toolbar in preview mode, so do not
need the copy trick as mentioned.

I first did have a look in the CRM, as you suggested and made a preview:
everything went fine, so back to my own app.

Did check on records, and size of first page: everything seemed OK, but
still a empty prev. screen and no navigation toolbar.
So I messed a bit with the settings of the nav. toolbar (def. > non) first resulting in the nav.toolbar appearing in my page!, but still no recs.
Then I moved the elements on the form just like HJK did, and triggered my preview method: everything worked now: nav. toolbar where it belonged, and a preview listing of my records.
What went wrong? I do'nt know, but I keep on testing, when it happens again, I'll let you know.
