placeholderText (smartclient)

I use a placeholderText for a field in a tableview (locked), now when hovering over the field in the tableview a tooltip popups up
but I have no tooltip defined for the field (
)
Is this expected behavior, if so is there a way to prevent the tooltip popping up?
We use servoy 7.3.1
