Stepping through code containing dialog

Modal dialogs using Continuation() in the webclient cause the debugger to suspend when stepping through it. The dialog is shown but when the button is pressed (the code called by the onAction of the button is executed also the application.closeFormDialog and the history.removeForm) the debugger is suspended. When pressing play the modal dialog is still there indicating: Loading... After a minute "Internal Error" is shown.

This does not happen when the program runs normally (no breakpoints/no stepping through the code).

Is this introduced in 5.2.x?
