Making a notification sound play.

Hi all,

I recently put notifications into my application, and I was wondering whether there's a way to play a sound that works in the ng web client? I have tried the playsound() and beep() from application but they don't seem to work with NG Client. I saw someone had got it working a few years ago with the WebClientUtils plugin but I'm still unsure how to install plugins outside of the package manager.

If there's a way to play audio files without adding a plugin that would be preferable, but if not, how would I go about installing them?
