Using Bob Cusick's excellent Report Maker solution, I have been able to create a report that gives me almost exactly what I need.
However there are a couple of areas where I am having problems.
Firstly I want to be able to get a total for a group of records. The records in question are hotel reservations and have a hotelID and an amount for each reservation. What I would like to have happen is for there to be a break in the report after each hotel that gives me the total for that hotel and have a grand total at the end of the report.
I know that I can get a report that lists the hotel name and the total using Group By and the SUM function.
Secondly, I would like to be able to query the database for a range of dates and then be able to generate an individual pdf file for each hotel but without having to run one query after another specifying the hotel ID. Is this possible?
