Migrating from testbed to live DB server

I have a few solutions ready to go, but I built them on a test bed server. There are multiple locations that I had to change server settings including 1)creating a new DB connection in the DB Servers tab of prefs
2)changing Every form owner over to the new DB
3)also in some methods using custom queries.

I was hoping this change could just be like flipping a switch!

Can this be made easier?

Don't change the name of the database connection!

Just change where the connection points to.
