Headless Client Licensing 2

I read in this post (https://www.servoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=16252) that ‘Headless client does not count as a web client and uses the regular license set.’ Is this still true?

If true, is there any possibility that the unlimited web client license could be used for the HC web site too?

Thanks!
JC

In terms of licenses, I believe web client = headless client.

That's what I thought, but Rob Gansevles (Servoy) stated here (viewtopic.php?f=25&t=16252) that the 'Headless client does not count as a web client and uses the regular license set.'

If the HC uses a regular license, building a HC site won't work in my case. The site in mind has an average of page visits (sessions?) of 1959. See http://securities.stanford.edu/webstats/.

Can anyone in Servoy confirm or cancel out Rob Gansevles assertion about the HC license?

Thanks! JC

If you read further in the post you pointed out, Rob actually said:
"Starting from release 5.2.9, an unlimited web client license will also cover headless clients."

Read the whole thread and you will see that since 5.2.9 webclient = headless client.

I apologize. I should have read more carefully the post. Thanks guys! This is really good news – it’s a release :-)

IMHO, I think that Servoy should update the official post about licensing of the HC here: http://servoy.com/content.jsp?t=435&mt=393
