Assigning Valuelist newbie question

This may seem a stupid question to all you experts out there, but I can't work out how I am supposed to get a valuelist to pop up when clicking into a field.

I have created a valuelist (Custom) and assigned it to the field in the porperties dialog.

But it doesn't appear. Am I missing soomething important here.

In Filemaker, you create the valuelist and format the field with that valuelist. Simple. Is it not the same in Servoy.

Have you made the field a combobox under the property 'displaytype'?
