How to config SMTP Mail server ?

CanM-4t find a function / property to define the authentification for SMTP Mail server... :(
Where do i have to look ?!
I havenM-4t found anything yet..

Hi Rainer,

That's because there IS NO authentication in the smtp plug-in. :)

If you need authentication - you should check out http://www.ezjavabeans.com. There is a bean called ezSMTP and it's US $35 that allows you to have authentication. There's some other cool beans there as well. I've used these with Servoy - and they work flawlessly.

Well there is no smtp server, you must specify an real smtp server (the one you use for delivering your mail) which the mail plugin uses to deliver the messages to, check out the 'Edit' menu -> preferences -> mail tab (or server admin page)

Well there is no smtp server, you must specify an real smtp server (the one you use for delivering your mail) which the mail plugin uses to deliver the messages to, check out the 'Edit' menu -> preferences -> mail tab (or server admin page)


As long as Servoy and the Mail-Server are on the same machine it is not a real problem.
But what about using a mail-server located somewhere else = (e.g. hostet webserver) ? An open smtp relay server is not realy a good idea ( -> spam)
