Calendar Popup Styling

Postby wvitpr » Wed Sep 28, 2011 11:01 am

HI,

I would like to change the default style of the Calendar Popup in webclient, I'm thinking that it should be possible if I copy the appropriate changes into the servoy_web_client_default.css and modify from there, but so far I have had no luck.
I have also added !important; which I read should force a over ride.

all the css of the calendar popup comes from dhtmlgoodies_calender.css that is inside the wicket-calendar.jar

I guess you should be able to override those if you load the css with the overrides before the own of the wicket-calendar.

What you also can do is tweak the one inside the wicket-calendar.jar ...

please test these things in the real application server.
For developer you need to change other jars. then the jar inside the eclipse plugin is used:
developer\plugins\servoy_shared_6.0.1.1219.jar\lib\

You can override the calendar popup styling also in the default css. Did you try this: https://www.servoyforge.net/projects/servoy-default-css

I'm not sure if I updated that one already, but I have version, where I did some calendar tuning also.....

HI Harjo,

That is the way we currently are doing it, but there seems to be no option to change the icon images arrows etc also I have almost completely overidden the whole style sheet. so I thought it may be neater to change the web component. But if the icons can be changed through your suggesting I would settle with that for the moment.

Yes I know, the icons are fixed coded inside the .js, so you are right, that can't be done by overriding the css.....

I hope Servoy picks this up, thought I was the only one, seeing such (ugly! ) colored/designed calendar.....
I'm willing to let our designer, design and change the .js & css and donate the code to Servoy, to make it default, or overridable...

Johan, is that an option??

you can always redesign it and patch your own.
and then post it here the result, then create a case with it and we can see if we can apply it
