Rotation of elements

Postby tysonj » Mon Aug 20, 2012 3:51 pm

Hi,

When I am adding a rotation to a label with some text in servoy 6.1, I am facing different behavior in web client and smart client.

Lets say I am setting 180 degree rotation to the label.
1. Smart Client : The label stays in its position while the text is rotated to 180 degrees. (as per my requirement :) )
2. Web Client : Both the label and the text is rotated to 180 degrees.

This dual behavior is creating problems. which will complicate things. Any turn around for this.

Thanks :)

With the case of rotation to an element I was expecting a similar behavior in both the clients.
In my case I need to rotate a text in a label to 270 degree to make the text appear from bottom to top and not the default from left to right.

And I am not sure which one is expected behavior when a label with text is rotated:
1. smart client :- only text is rotated.
2. web client : both the label and text is rotated.

Any suggestions to over come this is also welcomed.

Thanks.

Hi Tyson ,

I think , your requirement is something like showing a text in vertical without actually rotating the label, right ? .

Thanks

Yes Chaitanya, But I am more into the dual behavior of the rotation property.

I am looking forward to confirm, which is the expected behavior of the two that I am getting.
This looks like an issue :(

Thanks.

Please file a case for this in our support system, preferably with a small sample solution.
