Thai language OK on screen but missing characters in PDF

Postby grahamg » Fri Feb 09, 2018 5:59 pm

Hi

I suspect this may be a Java issue but before I try rolling back the Java version will be interested if anyone else having problem of foreign characters (Thai in this case) appearing OK in WebClient browsers but missing consonants when converted to PDF using PrintPreview.

System has been fine until we installed a new Server with OSX 10.12.6/Java 1.8.0_112 /Servoy 7.4.10 and problem was not noticed for a time. At the moment I can't access the previous Server to check exact Java version as it's 'safely' stored at a factory 5,000 miles away.

Screenshot & PDF attached for info.

Hi,

are you generating the reports with jasper?

if you are using the jasper then the issue is with the fonts you need to put the font in the jasper folder.

Best Regards,

Andy

Hi Andy

Not Jasper - just Servoy showPrintPreview.

Switched back to the 'old' Server running Java 1.6.0_45 and all fine again!
