Switching off/catching relationships checking on startup

Does anyone know of a way to switch off the error checking on relationships on startup.

I am now using a couple of relationships to sync my local solution to my remote one, but when i startup offline then it gives my users an error as the relationships obviously aren't their.

It seems that using the OnError function does not capture the relationship errors the occur on startup. It must kick in a bit later?

I just wondered whether anyone has any bright ideas?

Don't use the remote relationships on a form.

Put them in a try...catch statement when using in a method.
