Servoy 5 high usage of resources/memory?

Hi,

anyone noticing that Servoy 5 is using much more resources than Servoy4? I mean specially memory?
In Servoy4.1.4 my memory (which eclipse says) never goes beyond the 150MB max.

With Servoy 5 and the same solution, we have seen sometimes 300-400MB

Is this normal/expected?

So are you talking about Developer (which is mainly Eclipse), about Server, about Web-Client or about Smart Client?

Yes, i'm talking about using the eclipse developer & using debug client.

Perhaps some beans you installed? Like a native browser?

With a default 5 and an app open in Debug Smart Client I get this:

No I have not installed the the browsersuite.

the importants one's, are some it2be (free) plugins, calendarbean, tablebean (drmaison)
but the beans/plugins are exact the same as in Servoy 4.1.4

in my case I start also start with about 75MB,
In Servoy 4.1.4 just developing/working in developer and testing debug client, memory is never higher than about 150MB
In Servoy 5 just developing/working in developer and testing debug client, memory will go to 300-400MB after a while

Maybe it's something in Eclipse, I don't know, that's why I asked if somebody else is seeing this.

(not by only opening and testing a debug client once. It rices only after a few hours of work in developer 5)

No I have not installed the the browsersuite.

Even if you did, the amount of memory it takes is not much than any regular beans/plugins.
Most of the memory consumption is in a Native (out of Servoy) process.

and what happens if you press the trashcan symbol from jan's picture? (run garbage collector)

where does it jump back to?

I dont think 5 should eat much more memory then 4, maybe we cache for performance reasons some more but that cant be much more.
