Error: Save solution data

Postby martinh » Tue Dec 14, 2010 5:18 pm

When trying to fix a warning like "Event parameter(s) is passed to event method, make sure it is used with right type (change method signature)."

After pressing F1 Quick Fix (and press the button Fix), then Servoy / Eclipse give an unexpected error:

An internal error occurred during: "Save solution data".
java.lang.NullPointerException

How can this be fixed?

I'm afraid there is some corruption in the repository, because even check out of the whole solution in another workspace, is giving this error.

do you have any more information?
Like a stacktrace in the sevoy log file or \workspace\.metadata\.log

Hard to see what exactly goes wrong there.
Can you create a case with that stacktrace?
And if possible somehow a way to recreate that stack in een sample or other solution?

EDIT: ok we looked at it a bit more and this problem is already fixed for Servoy 5.2.x

Is there a way I can fix it myself in 5.1.4?

don't use the quick fix, but fix it yourself instead by hand. Its the quick fix that causes this.
