Solution deployment directly from the developer

As the subject goes, is there any way to achieve that? Any plan on implementing a "deploy" option aside the import/export ones in the near future? Sure importing the solution manually in the admin page is no one's death, but I believe something along the lines of visual studio's "publish" command for web projects would greatly be appreciated. Well, at least by me

By now you may have seen or read about the announcement at ServoyWorld 2012 on exporting WAR files directly to an existing Apache Tomcat server or any other J2EE standards compliant application server.

problem with the current implementation of the WAR export is that it won't export your solution at the moment. (and auto imports it on deploy)
That is being looked at.
