Cant Delete Media Files

2 files (both zip) were added to the medias directory in error. Now for some reason we cant delete them.
The files no longer exist anywhere on the drive or in SVN and yet they continue to appear in the solution explorer tree.
Looks like Servoy or Eclipse is hanging on to a reference to them some how. Done delete, clean-up and everything else I can think of to no avail?
Can these be deleted and where should I look for the reference?
