How to resolve different code problems

Hi to All,
does Someone know the solution to this problem?
While restoring a dumpall I see a message that advise of different code :
In the server of dumpall: code 850;
In the laptop of restore: Windows 1252 code 8-bit character.

This difference causes problem in a field named "quantità".
How to set the two codes equal in the different machines?

How exactly do you do the dump/restore?
Do you use the textxport plugin to export from scripting and file plugin to write it, or smart client import -> text / export -> text, or a database dump tool?

Where do you see the message about different code?
