PostgreSQL pgpass file

Postby akaash » Wed Mar 06, 2013 6:58 pm

Hi,

I've read online that the pgpass.conf file should be placed in the %APPDATA%\postgresql\pgpass.conf directory based on the user. I'm not getting password authentication even though I'm sure the passwords match. My guess was that the file isn't in the right directory. Could this be the case?

Thanks,
akaash

What are you trying to achieve?
Seems to me the path is correct, on my machine I do have a pgpass.conf file there. It was put there by pgAdmin when I ticked the checkbox to save the password when connecting to localhost.
