database restart

Postby Hans Nieuwenhuis » Tue Nov 05, 2013 9:59 am

Hi,

We use a headless client batch processor to import information from a SqlServer database to an Oracle database.

The SqlServer database is sometimes restarted.
The headless client looses the connection, but it does not get reconnected automatically
when de SqlServer database is up and running again.

I have to restart Servoy Server to get it connected again.

Is this expected behaviour ?
Is there a way to get reconnected without restarting the Servoy server ?

You can try the Validation Query from the server editor.
When that is set a small query (like 'select 1') will be fired before a connection is taken from the pool).
