Oracle 12C - Cannot Get Foundset

Postby bcusick » Wed Nov 21, 2018 11:23 pm

Hey Folks,

I'm using 7.4.10 with Oracle 12C (using the latest driver "ojdbc_7") - with Java 1.8.0_171.

I have a table that had a bunch of columns set to varchar 4000.

We needed to change those columns to CLOBs, since the users were posting HUGE amounts of text in them (it's a web client application).

I can query fine, I can get the table attributes fine, but I cannot, for the life of me, get a foundset (that used to work just fine!).

I keep getting the same error (on Server, Developer, Smart Client, Web Client) saying "Cannot get new foundset".

Has anyone come up against this?

GRATEFUL for any clues. :)

Does the table have a primary key?

The error resolved itself (somehow).

I suspect that the Oracle DBA was working on the database (even though they deny it)...
