Installation/Configuration - newbie

Postby Clive Sanders » Mon Jan 26, 2004 8:24 pm

I have successfully installed servoy on a Mac running OSX 10.3. I can connect to servoy from another machine on the local network, and I can connect to servoy admin.

I now want to be able to test getting to servoy from outside my network.

I have a sub-domain set up with my ISP (development.positive-thinking.oc.uk), which I have tested by setting up a site in Server Admin on port 80, and it works fine. I have now disabled that site.

I then went into servoy admin, changed the Network settings/java.rmi.server.hostname to: development.positive-thinking.co.uk, and left the port number at 1099, and restarted Sevoy server.

However, I cannot connect to Servoy using the address: http://development.positive-thinking.co.uk or
http://development.positive-thinking.co.uk:1099 or
http://development.positive-thinking.co.uk:8080

Could someone tell me what I have done wrong, or what I have left out.

Thanks for your help. :? :(
