Tried to install Servoy 6.1.2 (6.1.3 was not an option because of some regression with dialogs) on an AWS instance of Win 2008 R2 64-bit
Installed PostgreSQL 9.2.3 using EnterpriseDB installer, installed Java 7u13 64-bit and tried to install Server in c:/Servoy
1/ impossible to connect to the local pg instance (which was running). Test connection never succeeded (port was correct, user dba was created with all permissions - we tried dba as well as DBA)
2/ running the install seems to finish (100%) but never get to the 'next' option (where you can choose to save the xml for offline installation)
3/ checking the servoy.properties, the url is correct, as well as user and class (we tried downloading and installing the latest pg Type 3 JDBC driver in drivers as well in place of the bundled one)
4/ running servoy_server -upgradeRepository does nothing (we tried to create a blank servoy_repository in pgAdmin but it didn't help either)
We then uninstalled Servoy and Java 7, and installed Java 6u37 64-bit. Then tried to install Servoy again. No go.
We tried installing the bundled pg (on another port which was accessible), the installed is not creating the databases in /servoy_application/database/ there is just an empty postgres.conf in there.
We tried installing developer. But didn't succeed in connecting to the database, nor installing a bundled pg. Each time we took care of port/user/password etc.
We opened the 5432 port on the firewall, also tried allowing any connection in and out for postgres.exe
I can't think of anything we haven't tried but no matter what, it seems Servoy cannot connect to pg, nor install it.
Nothing goes!
So what is it? Servoy installer? Looks like it's not doing its job. Servoy? Looks like it cannot connect? The JDBC driver? We tried the one installed by Servoy and the latest as well.
Windows 2008 R2? Has anyone succeed installing Servoy 6.1.x? If so what were the steps?
We don't have much exception in servoy_log.txt except that Servoy cannot connect to the repository...
Any idea from Servoy R&D?
