Spec for a Windows based Servoy server

Postby swingman » Mon Mar 04, 2013 8:18 pm

Hi all,

I work mostly on Mac OS X. I now have a Windows-based client who is setting up a new Windows server to run Servoy 6.1.x.
The solution is of medium size and complexity, using SQL Server as a back end. SQL Server is running on a separate box. There are 40 users, but rarely more than 10 working simultaneously.
What is a sensible spec for a Windows-based server these days? Windows version, CPU, Ram etc?

Thanks,

C

Just a 2 or 4 core CPU 4GB ram, could easily handle this for smart-client.
If you use web-client, RAM could be more....but that strongly depends on how heavy your webclient is....

we use Windows 2008 & 2012, and still some older 2003 servers....
