I am having a problem updating our application server. When I run the command java -jar servoy_updater.jar or java -jar servoy_updater.jar -releaseNumber 2008 or anything else for that matter no update is found. Do I need to direct the server to a certain repository or something? What am I missing?

You cannot use update between major versions.
You have to download and install 7.0. (after that you can continue using updater for future 7.0 versions)
