Servoy Cluster Performance

My setup: Apache load balancing and terracotta server on a single server and two separate servoy app servers.

All of my configuration is mostly just the base configuration that Servoy provides in their wiki. My issue is that webclient seems twice as long to complete requests now that the cluster is up and running versus a single server taking all requests. There is a point in my test application where three records are created and then a sort is called. I timed the request in both environments: single server takes around 5 seconds, cluster takes nearly 9 seconds. The CPU also spikes from 5% to nearly 30% overall utilization when I create the records (also the single server is using https and the cluster is using only http).

No errors appear but the time difference seems pretty significant. Has anyone experienced the same when moving from a single server to clustered setup?
