2020.12 Servoy Application Server for On-Premises Use

Postby kwpsd » Sat Feb 27, 2021 12:46 am

How do we obtain the 2020.12 Servoy Application Server for on-premises deployment? We have customers that will not allow their data go outside their own networks, so a cloud-based solution is a non-starter. Thanks!

Hi, if you switch to Servoy-NG client you will need to run a Tomcat or similar application server on premise rather than the Servoy server that comes with the Servoy installer.

Hi Kim,

Christian's answer is on-point.

Just to add that if you are moving to NG Client, you will also be doing .war deployment (instead of .servoy deployments)
We did a webinar on this topic (now a bit old)

The WAR deployment only did not register in my mind until Christian mentioned it. I was used to the older dual installer from the pre-NG days. I have it sorted out now. Thank you, everyone.
