Good idea Marcel,
Haven't thought about that, but it is not a perfect solution.
Because now the format is fixed and can not be set by the locale.datetimeformat, which would be the most ideal situation.
But that gives directly a second problem. When having a DATETIME field en I want only to enter/use the TIME part, then Servoy doesn't give me the possibility the set in the properties that only TIME part must be used.
Now I handle this by setting default format in my table field properties (HH:MM), but now for a specific customer it needs to be HH.MM
Thinking further into Saas environments, I think the following is needed:
1) Within Servoy not only DATETIME datatype, maar ook DATE and TIME as separate types OR subdisplay types on form (DATE, TIME, DATETIME) for DATETIME types (I think the last option is better for compatibilty with databases)
2) A new functiion application.setLocaleDatetimeformat where you can set the date/timeformat separately for each tenant, so that you can have both European as American dateformat and also HH:MM/HH.MM possibilty within one application. This setting should overrule the setting on the adminpage, which is a serverwide setting.
As far as I can see, this doesn't exist yet.
