Users' connection to servoy hangs (time-out)

Postby jcarlos » Thu Oct 23, 2008 10:05 pm

I had a solution that I deployed not long ago and now the users cannot access. I still can access the server and web console in the local host, but I can't access them from my machine either. At first I thought in the firewall, but I checked the windows firewall GUI and it shows that both the Servoy HTTP and Servot rmiStartPort are checked. The SQL Anywhere Network Server is also checked. The check mark means that incoming network connections are allowed to those applications with the check mark. What could be happing? What should I do first to figure this thing out?

The server is Windows 2003 (enterprise edition) and the servoy version is 3.5.

HI Carlos,

what do you see if you open the java console?
do you see errors? look at your servoy properties file, maybe the rmi is changed?

Interesting, due to unrelated issued I restarted the server and things are responsive again. I also thought that this whole thing has something to do with the RMI. I really don't remember making a change in the RMI settings. Still a mystery for me, I really don't know what happened. Thanks!
