Issue with Servoy in computers running Vista and new OS-X

Postby jcarlos » Mon Oct 27, 2008 12:07 am

I deployed this solution more than a year ago. All users were running the solution in Windows XP. Some of the users now are running Windows Vista or the new Apple OS-X. The application never launched in any of those Vista or Apple computers. I am sure the users have accurate JRE and Java Webstart. What could I be doing wrong?

The first thing to look at is the log files to see if there is any stacktrace.

Interesting info would be Servoy version and Java versions (now and previously).

The users were connecting to the server without going first through the Stanford's VPN service. Since our Servoy server is behind the firewall, the users needed to be authenticated first with VPN. They weren't connecting to the VPN. I just realized this when I when to the users office to figure out what was happening in their computers! My mistake, I should have asked them first how they were connecting to the network. Servoy connectivity wasn't an issue! There is NOT a single connectivity problem with Servoy in computers running Vista and new OS-X.

Marcel, thanks for answering to my post!
