I am coming across a problem that i have seen before on some Windows XP installation where the Smart client stops with a servoy window open, but a gray screen and doesnt progress to the solution chooser.

I have had the user try using this server which is not tunnelled over 8080, but also another server, which is tunnelled through Port 80.
In the past I think the issue has resolved when i have had users change their security settings in windows, but some users are reluctant to switch them off completely.
Whilst my gut feeling is to tell them to stop being loosers and buy a mac, this is perhaps not the most commercial answer.
Can anyone tell me what the exact problem is and are their specific settings or security or firewall changes that need changing to stop this happening. I am convinced it is a firewall issue, even when tunneled over port 80.
I have to think that this is a fairly common problem, but couldn't see a specific post dealing with it.
