if you use the tunnel then that should work, if the proxy you use is something that supports the tunnel correctly (not all proxies do play nice)

Could you please explain better this "tunnel" based solution? I haven't heard this terms before. We have a very critical customer that has been having issues because of the proxy. In fact, I can predict there will be a lot of costumers with the same issue, since proxies are a very common thing. Anyway, could you please explain what it is and how to use the tunnel?

Well, after a little research I found you were referring to the "two way socket" option in the network settings. That seems to come enabled by default, right? Anyway, what if this couldn't solve the proxy problem and we're still having that same errors when launching the solution. What to do with this big costumer that cannot afford to change the settings for all their client machines?

no 2 way socket is our "plain"/standard rmi connection setup i was talking about the http tunnel
search for example for com.servoy.j2db.server.rmi.tunnel.ServerTunnelRMISocketFactoryFactory
