Show java console

Hi all,

is there a commandline command or shortcut to bring up the java console once the servoy smart client is started?
sometimes this can be very helpful whenever a client has a problem.

I won't, but it doesn't provide me any answer.

Of course I've tried to google this, but the only sites I found refer to setting the java preferences.
I already knew that trick, but now I want to enable it when smart client (thus: java) is already running!

dont think that is possible.

The application is running, you cant target webstart app runner or something anymore to say show console. Thats something that you have to do upfront.

What about Method2 of this page: http://www.java.com/en/download/help/javaconsole.xml ?
I have never tried but It should show the console while you have your smart client open? However I don't think it will show the errors previously raised.

would be nice, except: there is no icon in my systray.

Now you say: "tick the 'show in systray' checkbox in the java preferences"
Good point, but then again: it's ticked and still no icon... :-(
