SmartClient certificates

Hello,

We lately notice that on Mac, when install the SmartClient for the first time, it asks too many times to approve the certificates from the server. Too many means couple dozens!

I looked in the Java Control Panel Security, and indeed there are lot of entries for the same certificate. You can see the attached screenshoots.

Anyone had this and know what the reason might be?

Thanks,
Bogdan.

Hi Bogdan,

Yes, you can thank Apple for this. They insist (since a few versions now) that for each component you need to go through some 3 pane wizard to allow the components to be used.
This is a Mac-only phenomenon and only done for when you load a component for the first time. Windows and Linux don't have this issue.

Yes, on Windows it's OK. And indeed it's a 3 pane wizard each time. Apple usually does a great job, but sometimes they are a pain in the neck.

Thanks for the info! At least now I know!
