Selected field highlight colour

I have a problem with my navigator list box which is set to default style options.
The background is the same colour as the selected record foreground colour. Field is transparent.
I need to change the " selected" field foreground text colour to black or similar, and have no idea looking at the default CSS style which option is the correct one to change.
I would expect something like label or field.selectedForecolor
If i have to set up a seperate CSS style. don't know which field options to set.
Smart client, but will be same for Webclient.
Using latest versions 6 and 7.
