Is Servoy 7.x ready for Java 8 because of issues in Java 7?

Hi community,

we have noticed some issues with Java 7 Update 51 and Smart Client in Servoy 7.3.1:

(1) no question about creating a desktop shortcut
(2) when renaming the desktop shortcut, every solution start (clicking the renamed shortcut) will create a new shortcut with the old name
(3) Wrong icons on plugins.dialogs.showQuestionDialog (seems to be Mac only)

So i'm wondering if this works better for Java 8 - or is there a solution for Java 7?
Is Servoy 7.3.1 / 7.4 ready for Java 8 or are there any issues?

With the Java 8 early access installation i had problems to start our solution (there was an exception when showing the splash screen).

Thanks for information!
Alex

java 8 should work for the most part, but i do notice that it is signing wise a bit stricter again on some area's as java 7 (but it could be that the latest update of 7 also now has that)
But i don't know if it really fixes your problems about those shortcuts and so on.

But the final of java 8 is almost there, but i guess it won't be pushed out to everybody before update 1 or something like that
