Your are disconnected from the server.. trying to reconnect.

Postby pavelzver » Tue Jan 25, 2005 11:09 pm

Hi,
we keep getting this message every 5-10 min "Your are disconnected from the server.. Trying to reconnect. And then Client gives another message:
*************************
"Still not connected to the server!
Close the client??
No/Yes
*************************
And then you have to open it again and log in and etc. Very Annoying!

Server is Win 2003 running Servoy 2.2b2 and mysql db.
Some clients PC and some Mac's, they all behind a router,
SocketFactory.useTwoWaySocket option is checked on the server and on the clients.

Any ideas how this can be fixed.

Thank you
Pavel

Hi Pavel,

Dotted around the forum there are a few references to server connection issues.

Here is a link which may help from another's simlar problem :
http://forum.servoy.com/viewtopic.php?t=3478

It looks like it would be a router/firewall settings issue and as the above link says, you may be better to try it with 'TwoWaySocket' option disabled.

Failing this check your router settings as it may be that there is an idle timeout active in there somewhere.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Hi Pavel,

Excellent news. Glad that it was sorted.

Would it be too much to ask you to post what setting on the router was causing the disconnect ?

This may give others with the same problem a specific place to look ?

Cheers
