Half Height Text in Columns

Postby Providence1 » Wed May 31, 2006 3:22 am

Anyone have any idea why the text in my fields is appearing half height for some, but not all of my users and some but not all of the fields on a form? .... (see attachment)

maybe, you have two text-areas, on top of each-other??

(btw: this is awfully looking like Filemaker! )

LOL! It does look like FMP, but until the UI gods infuse me with some better ideas then FMP it will look like.

Look at the other fields on the tab panel below, to the right.

Half-height.

John, what is the margin on those fields? What happens when you set them to 0,0,0,0 instead of default?

They are all 1,3,1,1. Considering it happens randomly and not to every field on a form or in a portal I assume 0,0,0,0 wouldn't change things but I can experiment. This is something that just started happening in the last couple weeks. No changes to java or servoy version numbers.

Hmm, other thought. Are they text fields or areas?

Both text fields and text areas. The big one is an area, the others are fields.

It happens on some forms and not every field on a form.

Very strange.

But, you can reproduce it?

Can you check what the difference is between those fields that show like this and those that don't?

Any difference in the underlying database? other font whatever?

John, just looking at your form I think I have noticed something. No solution just a conclusing. The above fields are higher than the ones in the tab panel. The fonts are the same but also the margins on the top. Any reason for it?
