Windows permissions for clients

Postby agiletortoise » Thu Aug 03, 2006 6:08 pm

I've deployed a Servoy server, and have several clients on a Windows network, all with JRE 1.5.06. I can launch and connect to my solutions fine if I'm logged in as a user with Administrator privileges on the Windows machine.

If I log on to the machine as a standard domain user, Webstart will download and launch the client. If SSL is enabled on the server, I get a "Cannot find repository" message. If SSL is off, client launches without error, and the open solution dialog box opens -- but is empty, no solution listed.

It has to be something related to the user permissions in the Domain. Anyone know exactly what permission level a user need to be able to successfully use the Servoy Client? Is there some other Java settings I need to tweak?

Thanks, greg.

Nevermind

Nevermind, I figured it out. Java was using the browser's proxy settings, which were different for standard users. I changed that and everything golden.
