NGClient settings for Barracuda appliance

Postby sbutler » Thu Sep 08, 2016 5:21 pm

I have a customer transitioning from WebClient to NGClient, and is having some trouble getting the NGClient to work behind the Barracuda appliance (content filter / firewall). WebSockets have been enabled, but when loading the page from outside of the network, they receive this message:

Disconnected from server, Reconnecting...

When I look at the console on the web page, it shows:

Code: Select all
WebSocket Error: Incorrect HTTP response. Status code 400,

When they access it internally, it works fine. Besides WebSockets, what else would they need to enable? I can't seem to find any of those details on the Wiki.

Figured it out. For anyone else dealing with this, it was a bug in the barracuda web socket implementation. It was corrected by adding a http request rewrite command as below.
