TiNG Login Issue When Using a New Workspace

Postby kwpsd » Tue Nov 15, 2022 8:34 pm

Servoy Developer 2022.09.2

We noticed a strange behavior while importing and launching our TiNG solution for the first time in a NEW workspace and was wondering if anyone has encountered the same.

Upon launch, our solution presents a login screen to capture the user's credentials. After the credentials are validated, we make the following call:

Code: Select all
security.login( UserName, UserName, [ 'Users' ] )

however, the login screen persists and the solution is not launched.

We use the debugger to step through the login code which (sometimes) allows the login to proceed to the solution. Once this happens, subsequent logins work as expected with no issues. If we create a different NEW workspace, then the login issue resurfaces. We also tried this on different computers with the same results. We have concluded that the login problem is directly tied to the NEW workspace. Perhaps, something in the workspace is not being initialized, or there is a race problem during first-time start up.

Anybody know what is happening and how to get around the problem?

Thanks!

Hi Kim,

Pls check if 'Users' is an existing user group.
If not, create it and the problem should be resolved.

Hope this helps

Hi, Marc.

I should have mentioned that the user groups exist in Developer after importing the solution.
