Splitter handle 4 NG Client running iOS (or other tablet OS)

We use relatively small Split Pane handles for our apps running in the Browser under macOS, Linux, Windows. But in the Browser under iOS (or other table OS), this does not work. One should have a splitter handle (for example horizontally or vertically in the middle of the splitter) which is clearly wider than then the remaining parts (of the splitter).

Of course, one could make the splitter very wide, but this is aesthetically not what we want and would especially on a iOS device consume unwanted screen space.

My question is, does such a handler for a splitter exist, especially for iOS?
