Noobie Mobile Question Sorry

Hi,

I have been playing around with the Mobile example solution and all is working as it should.

I have created a PhoneGap export and am able to download it onto my Android phone. However, when I Sync I get the error message 'Can't retrive JSON'.

I know that the issue is all to do with when I created the PhoneGap export and it asked for the Application Server URL which defaults to 'http://localhost:8080'. Obviously my device will not be able to access the web service using this URL.

My ip address is 192.168.0.100

I have rebuilt my PhoneGap export using the Application Server URL of 'http://192.168.0.100:8080' but this again brings up same error. I am not sure if this is the format to enter the URL - could someone please advise correct URL.

I am using Developer and have the Mobile Web Service active.

Can anyone please help with this really simple noobie issue..

Thanks

Can the device on which you run the PhoneGap app access you server through 192.168.0.100? (you can try this in a browser, by going to http://192.168.0.100:8080)

Paul,

Yes I can see the launch servoy client page on my android device by going into web browser http://192.168.0.100:8080 - both machines are connected to the same wireless connection.

I can run the app and when I try to log in (using demo/demo), after about 30 seconds I get the Alert dialog with 'Couldn't retrieve JSON'.

I don't think I entered the application url into the PhoneGap export correctly - can you please let me know the correct syntax for the URL please - is it
http://192.160.0.100:8080 or should I be entering anything else?

Thanks
